    Hi Lads,

I just start to build my first guitar, nothing serious just for see if I can do it.....

I bought a piece of mahogany and some plans..........the body is done (thanks to a friend jigsaw) and now I'm proceeding to route the holes for the pick up and wiring.....and neck pocket........I draw template for everything.....

my question now......I don't have money for buy a professional router so....one of my friend got a Dremel drill.....do you thing I can do the routing with that or I will broke the drill??

I don't want to try and broke the drill........do you thing it can handle it or there is any other way for doing it??

    Thanks in advance

I think you will break the dremel and they can be quite expensive. I have broken a router in the past by trying to force too much wood at one time.
My suggestion is to go and buy a cheap router in McQuillans they are around 45 euro and take the routing very slow as you will not tax the motor in the router as these come under quite a bit of strain with hard woods such as mahogany, Rout down in 1/2 or 1 centimetre depths and you shoud be fine until you reach the required depth in the wood.
