Foundation scare (Edit: ?? )

Our builder laid the foundations last week for our house and forgot to tell us of his advanced progress. When myself & other half went to the site on Saturday last (in pouring rain) we both nearly had a heart attack-The size of the foundations seemed much smaller than we envisaged. We were both of the opinion that the builder had used bad measurements or wrong plans or something. Later that evening I bought a 30metre tape & when I did the actual accurate measuring the builder had the foundations spot on to our relief.

Has anyone else had this scary moment at their newbuild or are we both just visually challenged?

I now know the builder did indeed call the architect on site to supervise the pouring of the concrete and his work is very good indeed so far. He just wanted to pour before the wet weather forecast for the w/e.

I can't really see the point of this thread other than to say that it isn't easy to judge exact measurements with the naked eye.

    Locked. (Unless muffler thinks otherwise).

If I had seen it first I would have kicked it to touch. What a useless piece of info and a waste of a good keyboard.

Ah go on smashey, you know you want to.
