Hey guys anyone used the new propane adaptor yet? and if so, is it just a case of buying a 11kg blue propane tank say from the likes of Texico petrol stations or grey patio tanks (propane) from the likes of Woodies, whack the adaptor on top and away you go and fill up! or do you have to use smaller tanks(i.e. is the pressure all the same)

I'm a bit confused as to which to buy and use as I have a new m1911 on its way from eirsoft.ie and don't want to screw up my new toy? would appreciate any help, and a final solution to the propane issue..thanks guys:)

All those propane tanks are the same pressure roughly. It's just a case of the bigger the tank, the more gas inside. As long as the adaptor thread fits the bottle thread you're flying

You need to use the smaller canisters. Can't imagine the adaptor being able to handle the big tanks.

right..so say tanks the same size as the yellow calor gas? (barby gas) surely its gonna by a bit difficult to invert the tank:eek: or is that a real requirement do you think?

No those tanks are rigged for use with regulator valves. They don't work otherwise

    Hi m8,

Like yourself I have got a GBB on the way from eirsoft
and have the propane adapter and silicone spray/oil at the ready.

BnQ have the Blue Propane tanks at a nice size.
See a pic on a recent thread that I posted:

The bottles sold in bnq where the only ones that I could find that fitted the adapter. The large cans sold in petrol stations have a clip on type nozzle and the camping cans need to be pearced.

thanks for the advice guys..should have it sorted now... just received my delivery from eirsoft.ie:D :D what can I say...:D :D very nice...i don't care how much!! m4 a1, m1911 plus a propane adaptor and two bags of bb's.

just charging the m4 a1(no spare batt, this is my first toy) can't wait to rock an roll!! heys guys if any of you have the d boys m4, how exactly do you mount the front swivel for the 3 point sling? without removing the foresight? the one in the box looks right but for the life of me(bit thick this morning) can't see hot to do it without removing the sight.

Am waiting on two dboys m4's at the moment and curious
to know what the finish is like on them Would be nice
if they were a matt black and not too shiny in daylight.

Does it feel nice and solid? Whats the hand guard feel like.
be cool if ya could get a metal hand guard.

iceages pics of new stuff: (excellent looking)
I'd get a 1911 if only it was not for the brown coloured panels on the grip,
Makes me wonder would the black ones from my replica fit Mmmmmmmm.
