I was gonna buy something from Misco befoer, but the site said it only delivered to UK addresses. I see it still says this, though also gives pricing to ship to ROI. Good to know.

Good price for the Mirai and it has 3 year warranty.

Thanks for the tip - I bought one of these and I'm very happy with it. The picture is fine and it doesn't look like a budgo LCD.

Misco were very good. I ordered it on a Friday afternoon (I had to call to order as it wouldn't let me enter an Irish address online) and I had it by Monday morning!!! Can't do better than that.

(This is compared to Pixmania that lost my TV. Took 10 days to investigate. And then reported, yes, they had lost it, and now they're permanently out of stock. Grr).

    Found this

Can I place an order from outside the UK?
We currently only deliver to UK, Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland addresses. However Systemax operates in many European countries as well as the US. For full details visit our Worldwide partners page.

So looks like Eire is not a problem. Thanks OP. Methinks I will be using these guys in the very near future.

Thanks lads & lassies for the tip. Took the plunge and ordered the Mirai on Friday from Misco (need to ring to order but no problem) and it arrived today (would have arrived yesterday but rural address, they needed a second go).
Very happy with Misco customer service, got an email this morning after the failed delivery yesterday. All worked out great today. Nightline.ie seem to do the irish deliveries.
The telly is brilliant, plenty of conenctions, HD ready whatever ...
Very happy with picture quality, as good as any I've seen in the shops, seems like good build quality too.
3 year collect & return warranty, irish freephone number
So another heads up from me

Has anybody mounted one of these on a wall?
Sounds like it might be ideal for the bedroom. :)

No but it comes with instructions to do so, although a wall-mount bracket is not included. Can't really complain, though, at that price :-)
Looking forward to the first new widescreen LCD telly experience tonight :-)

did ye all have to order it by fone because even though it says it delivers to ROI it wont let me put it in on the delivery address.

I did. No big deal. On the invoice they seem to have made up their own code for Ireland :D - it shows up as ZZ3Eire :D;)
You can try inputting that maybe that will work ...

BTW, the code for the Sky remote is 981 :-), will work with volume control and TV on/off, haven't tried any other function yet.

toying with the idea of getting this box, can anyone tell me what the picture quality on it is like with regular tv no HD?

Its going to be a primary TV for about 6 months then a secondary bedroom tv.

the 3 yr warranty is making it extremely attractive, great peace of mind. opinions/views?
