hey I was just wondering does anyone know if you can use your pc monitor as a well monitor for say the xbox 360 or ps3? I hear that without a decent tv its hard to see whats what when playing the next gen consoles. And avoiding shelling out money for a tv thats not really needed when I could just hook up my monitor twud surely be handy.

Its a BENQ T705 if thats any help?

Also im looking for a site that tells you if your pc can run certain games. It checks your specs and then tells you how well that game will run. I remember using one when I got oblivion but I cant find the site now. Thanks in advance.

Your monitor is this one right ,

    BenQ T705 17IN Black LCD Monitor 1280X1024 500:1 0.264MM 13MS VGA Analog

So its analog VGA only ( it will not take a digital signal ) with a native resolution of 1280 x 1024 , it can be hooked up to an xbox 360 , maybe a PS3 as well but only with an analog adaptor , only the xbox will feed a HD signal to it though , and the scaling on that monitor is going to have trouble with it. So all in all its not going to look great ,

Your certainly not going to get the HDTV experience that you hear people talking about , it'll be Ok , nothing special. Your TV would probably be better , HD or not !

We use a VGA cable to hook up a computer to our high def projector (720p native) and it looks amazing. OP: As Mathias said though if it's not at native, it's gonna look pretty horrible on that monitor.
