Buying Weights

Just wondering can anyone give me a few pointers as to where to buy some decent cast iron olympic plates. I have a 120kg hammertone Golds Gym set that the finish is falling off of and would like to get some plain cast iron plates at a reasonable price.
If any body has some info it would be much appreciated.

Presumably it is a regular barbell you have? If so then Argos do 2 x 10 kg cast iron plates for 22.99. In most other places you'd pay 40 quid (2 quid per kilo)

The downside of the 10 kg plates is that you will not be able to fit as much weight into the bar as if you were using 20 or 25 kg plates.

Also, do ask Mickk what he has too.

Thanks lads. I will give Mickk a shout so. I have an olympic set got it in workout world before it closed . The bar is probably no great shakes but I have deadlifted 140kg on it no hassle . As well as the 120kg I have 2 large polygonal 2okg rubber covered plates that I got from the UK but it worked out pretty expensive and I was just wondering if there was anything cheaper closer to home.

I got 2x20kg plates from Mickk, they are regular 1" holes, not olympic. The other advantage is the larger plate means they are lifted off the floor more, so it is easier to pick them up. Think I paid 50 for the 2 plates, I think these were the last ones from his gym though, not sure if he has any similar ones.

Ok would just like to say I ended up getting the weights I was looking for from Mick K. Good quality plates , 2 cast iron and 2 rubber coated at a very reasonable price. Mick K is a gent and a pleasure to do business with.
