sky plus remote broken

My sky plus remote is broken I havent a clue what happened to it, I cant change a channel and the red light on the top of the remote doesnt flash when I press a button any more, how do I get a replacement?

You can buy them in Power City, Argos, etc. If its under 12 months old you might be able to get another one from Sky.

You have changed the batteries, right?

I have tried to re-configure my SKy remote to my new Samsung LCD. I have followed the instructions and entered the code for Samsung '0060'. But it wont work. Does anyone know any other codes ??

I have no idea. Cost me about 20-25 notes for a replacement Sky one some years ago I think!

Use the Interactive menu and go thru Customer Services. From here, you can use the guide to reprogram your remote.

Argos do a few types, 20 to 25, Satworld sell one for 19 online.
You may not be able to code in all TVs in the Sky remote.
There is limited capacity and not all models of all brands can fit so some get left out.
My day had same pproblem with a new Cello 32" lcd. We gave up and he bought a Panasonic
There are several editions of the original Sky remote so depending on the model some remotes may have the codes programmed in, some may not:mad:

Did you set up the remote to work with your particular make of TV? There are various codes you enter to get the remote working with your TV. Plenty online. Here is a site with such codes. Before enter the code, you need follow the instructions here.

Sounds like your remote has lost the code, maybe batteries low or someone pressing wrong buttons/sitting on it etc.
Reprogram the remote with the code you used before.

Both Sam Radford and ethernet have given links to sites with codes.

Otherwise go to Sky Customer Service via the Interactive menu button on your Sky remote.
