2/5 hand from vancouver

Villain is playing 500, i cover with 700

There are four limpers to me in the BB and i check with 10c8c.

Flop comes 10s 6d 3d.

I bet out 20 and the limper from utg+1 calls. He has been playing fairly tight, i have been playing my usual laggy self. Everyone else folds.

Turn comes 8h.

I bet out 50 and the villain min-raises to 100, mot unusual over here they play alot of limit and seems to be fairly standard. I call.

River comes Ac and i check, he bets 175.

happy to call - there are hands that beat you like 66 33 A10 A8d but your check has allowed him to attempt to steal with 45, busted flush etc and his 175 looks like anyone of the above - I dont have any problem with how you played the hand - his min raise on the turn with the straight draws and flush draws out there would make me think that 33 and 66 are much less likely - yes I definetly call.

In a live game people overplay one pair hands a lot.

id make it 225 on the turn and give him a chance to shove

This sort of situation happens a fair bit and i just wondered is it one of those things where you should call as your ahead more often than not. In this case i folded cause of the player. He had 7d9d which hit the middler on the turn.

I think shovimg the turn is bad as i dont think he'll call with an over pair or bottom two. I was planning to check call the river but just decided against it for once.

Why post the thread if you're sure it was a good fold when everyone is telling you to call/shove?

Because its something thats happens so often in live games, especially in those rediculously deep games in the jackpot. In those game avg stack is 600ish at 1/2. People go broke on two pair all the time. For me its usually one pair. Alot of people bet flop/ check turn/ vb river with top pair in these games. Im starting to think this line is ok with two pair aswell.

I really wasnt sure if this was a call or fold. I was just sure if i shipped the turn he'd only call if he had me beat.
