Image Authentifier?

Hi guys...

Now, this sounds like a long shot, but..

is there any software out there that could authentify that an image that i recieved is authentic of that sender?

wont get into details here..but...maybe to be informed that the image did not come from a registered website?..a model website?

basically im getting to know this girl in the states at the moment and she's sent me a few pictures of herself..but..theres something a bit tooo professional about them. Is there any such software?

(Before you ask..camming is out of the question..long story)

Um, no. Not unless google has a database of everyone's pic! Ask her to send you a picture holding something specific, like a apple with a pencil stuck through it or something and her standing there making a face. Or something. Then again she could be a photoshop wiz. Or a bloke. Tread carefully!

OP: JPEG's usually carry Exif information. There's actually a reasonable bit of info in this. Probably enough to nail someone for being full of it.

There's no substitute for webcam (or at the very least voice over IP like skype to determine that it's not some nasty looking hairy bloke).

On the interweb, if it's someone you haven't met face to face, it's safest assume the worst tbh.

If you want to PM me the picture, I'll check the exif information for you. It varies by camera of course but here's what comes from a photo taken by our camera:
