come up against this alot in online play by myself and opponents in micro limits

e.g .5/.10c hand from last night I limp in on BB with 6c 8c

    flop shows two clubs

    Ac 2c Qd

villain (sb) leads for .80c (laggy I think , big range, A or Q small kicker possible here)

    Me?
    Call or fold or raise

say for instance I call here and the flop is a rag and villain bets medium again, do I chase the flush or fold?
I know this seems basic but I struggle here big time.

Any help appreciated (pls keep it simple , no calculator here!!!)

    you've 9 outs.

    9x4 - % of times you'll hit in the next two cards = 36%
    9x2 - % of times you'll in the next card = 18%

so to hit on the turn you need roughly 5-1 pot odds to call, or 2.5 - 1 odds if you think he'll check the turn after you call on the flop

on the turn its a fold unless he bets 1/4 of the pot or less.

if instead, you raise the flop, there are other factors as he may fold to the flop raise, he'll probably check to you on the turn allowing you to take a free card or fire again to try take the pot there, etc etc

If you intend to chase and give up if you miss then the only thing that you need worry about are pot odds, which are roughly explained above. To make correct decisions there should be enough in the middle compared to the amount you have to put in to make it worthwhile. Constantly calling a turn bet when someone bets 2/3 pot is a long term loser for example. If you are calling with the intention of making a play at the pot whether you hit or miss then it is slightly different, but on these occasions you have to factor in whether your bluff will get through. This has to be a carefully targetted play against specific opponents, and loose or calling station type players are not good to do this against.

In your example above when opponent bets .80 into the pot (assuming 5 player sto the flop as it is not specified) which is currently .50, then there is no way you are getting odds to call. Raising might be a better play here as it will likely scare off any other flush draws that might be out there, and might allow you to take the pot there and then from the SB. When you make a semibluff like this, you have another way to win the pot here, so is good to use from time to time, but mostly on the above example you should fold. Calling to try and hit your flush but folding when you miss is not good.
