MOTU Fast Lane & Windows Vista

    Good morning all.

I have a query; I bought a laptop with Vista on it yesterday, and also, on a long list of wants, Finale Songwriter and a MOTU Fast lane usb/Midi interface.

Finale loaded fine, MOTU not so good. I called Brown Bear this morning and they told me to register with MOTU online (which I did) and try download their vista interface software.

The Brown Bear Sound guy also said that it may not work and that I should wipe the laptop and stick XP on it. All I do is write random jazz piano songs that I want the finale program to notate as I'm sick of transcribing from mini disks. Can anyone advise me on MOTU and Vista?

Thanks guys ( or the Doc) in advance.

From MOTU's website it seems this product should run on Vista. Have you sucessfully installed the newest drivers?

Getting rid of Vista seems like a drastic measure, probably just a few teething problems.
