    What's the deal with these? I hear a lot of buzz about it, but never really looked into it. So it's a modelling processor, but is it really that good to justify the price tag? Anyone heard anything?

    I've heard the buzz too. Don't know much else, other then it's approach seems to be power-based (fast CPUs and whatnot).

    I also suspect a lot of the buzz is viral marketing tbh.

    Yeah, there's a fair bit of blurb about processing power. Guess we'll just have to wait and see?

    I notice that the processing power is supplied by Cirrus Logic chips. I sure hope they've cleaned up their act.
    Back in the day before newbie AMD came along to slay the Intel giant, there were a ton of competing processors for IBM and Digital machines, like Alpha and Cirrus Logic.
    IBM-style machines built with Cirrus Logic processors consistently had compatability issues with the OS's.

    Of course, this has nothing to do with their possible success in the audio field, but it did jump out at me. :)

    Heard lots; all good apart from the backlog of orders. Supposed to be a new floor based "lite" version coming soon. Impressive sound clips you've got to admit.
