Putting travels on CV?

    Hi guys,
I was just wondering exactly what part of my CV I should put that I've been travelling for a while. Basically, the only reason I'm putting it in is to explain why there's a gap of a few months since my last employment.
Should I put it as a note at the start or end of my work experience section, or not mention it at all there? Maybe just put it in my Interests/Hobbies section that I've been away?
    Thanks

I have my travels in my chronological work experience section. That way it is the cleanest and easiest to read.

If it were my CV, I'd add a brief note to the experience section for the gap. I think it's better to avoid a potential ambiguity when someone is screening your CV prior to interview. Something very simple like this should suffice:

(Three months of travel in S.E Asia and Australia)

Easy. On the cover letter. Explain you finished up in your previous job on whatever date, then went travelling, and are now returned and looking forward to continuing your career.
