Took this up at the back of the airport yesterday, I thought it was nice the bird and the plane in the background with a theme of flight and how far we have moved on but how little in animal terms. C&C welcome

I like it. I think it would look better if you centered the bird and plane though. the rest of the canvas looks too bare

I think the original crop would have worked if there was something to occupy the rest of the frame like cloud or buildings, but having it bare doesn't work IMO

I quite like the empty space, it shows the path both are about to take, and leads your eye to the subject matter. A nice photo, the jet looks like a predator about to stike and have your little bird for dinner!

Well . . . I think the reason the original crop does work is that it is a clear area without clutter, but there ya go ! Different people having different opinions and all that.

I did crop it to this proportion for Gerards and Ned78's reasons, also I was thinking of printing and framing ratios and preferred the wide look. Thanks for your opinions, they are very much appreciated

Great concept and well executed. I agree that you need some empty space on the left, but I think you could afford to lose some (perhaps half) of it. At the moment almost half of the entire image is empty which unbalances it I think. Still a nice shot though!
