    Hi guys.

Just some info for anyone who has the password for our online blog at www.twoweeksonatrolley.blogspot.org

I'm going to re-jig things, with regard to passwords and access etc.

At the moment, close to 10 people have a password for the account. However, I'm the only one who's posted anything.

That's fine. Everyone's busy. I'm not so busy right now, so I can post at will.

If it ends up as a solo blog I'll still keep it going, with zero hard feelings. It is, after all, just a website.

BUT, it's probably fair to say that a few of the people who have the password etc will end up not posting.

It's also probably fair to say that it would be handier all round if those members of the blog team who intend posting regularly, had their own account. So all our entries would appear on the same site, but everybody would have their individual profile etc.

    Anyways, the plan is this:

I'm going to be away until next monday, so anybody can do anything they want on the site until then.

On monday, I'll change the password. So the old ones won't work. If anybody has posted on the blog in the meantime, I'll send it to them. So they shouldn't really be affected. I'll also set up an individual account for them, so they can blog on the site independently etc.

For anyone else, you can PM me if you want in. BUT, I would ask that you only PM me when you have a blog post actually written+complete and ready to go (so save it in word or whatever). I'm off work next week, and I'll check PMs regularly, so I'll be able to get back to you quickly. PM me to tell me you have an entry ready, and send me your email address. I will then add you to "The team". You can then add your post. The whole process will hopefully only take a few hours.

This way, the only people who will have access to the account are those who intend blogging. It's better than the current situation where lots of people have access to the account who may or may not post. Once you've posted maybe two posts, I'll add you to the profile bit

Does that make sense? It's like 1am, so it may be a bit garbled.

If there's any confusion, drop me a PM. I'll have internet access once or twice a day when I'm away (assuming they have the interweb outside Dublin? :P ) so I can get back to you quickly.

    Anyway, guys, take care.

It's interesting being a blogger. Give it a go. It officially makes you a nerd, but you don't have to tell anyone ;)

    Kind regards,

    Tallaght01

OK, so I've done some jigging about with the blog. Nothing that you'de notice though.

Basically I've reset the passwords. I'm going to create a team blog, as mentioned above. This will involve anybody who wants to post in the blog having their own profile and their own password etc.

So, anybody who is genuinely interested can PM me. I would ask that you have your first post written BEFORE you PM me. Have it saved on your computer in word or whatever.

Then PM to tell me you have a post ready to go. In the same PM, give me your email address, as I have to "invite" you to blog, so a valid email address is required to send the "invitation" to.

Once the blogger site has your email address, they'll send you login details and you can publish your post on the blog.

    Hope that makes sense

DrIndy and NurseBaz, my fellow bloggers.

Do either of you guys know how to put a hit counter into the blog?

    I've already tried and failed.

If one of you guys could give it a shot, that would be magic.

    I'm a technotard
