    Seems like a good device for hot-swappable storage.
    However, I don't think it has a ethernet port which would limit its use as a Network attached storage device.
    If the interface is comparable to ethernet then maybe it could be a good buy.

    I'm not familiar with network storage ,but I will have to look into it soon.
    I was just looking for something large ,fast and able for some abuse.

    A watercooled ,sata enclosure will do so ,forget the above one. With networking built into it.
