It's Always sunny in Philidelphia on Channel 6 on Tuesday Nights.

And then there are the usual of LOST, 24, Scrubs etc.

Any newer shows we should be watching?

    The Wire
    The Shield
    Rescue Me
    Dexter
    Reaper
    Rome
    Deadwood
The Venture Brothers-better than family guy and the simpsons in my opinion.

None of the above, turn off that damn TV and get outside now the weather has improved.

It's just a fad. Rain on its way.

    30 rock for comedy.
Agree with Dexter (excellent) and reaper (only saw pilot for reaper though).
    Jericho is also good.

So on shows with 3 seasons or less, or those which have not got their deserved acclaim:

    The Wire
    30 Rock
    The Wire
    Battlestar Galactica
    The Wire
    Dexter
    The Wire
    Doctor Who
    The Wire
    House
    The Wire
    Medium
    The Wire
    The Office
    The Wire
    Popular
    The Wire
    Rescue Me
    The Wire
    Shameless
    The Wire
    The Shield
    The Wire
    The West Wing
    The Wire

Think that covers it for now :)

Sweet christ ixoy! You can't mix all those other entertaining and enthralling shows with THAT!

The Wire, Mondays 10pm on FX. It's on the fourth episode of the first series now and it's brilliant stuff.

Popular was great! Tongue firmly in cheek (certainly in the first season), it's entertaining camp and a great two fingers to most of the other teenage dramas.
I mean how can you diss a show where, in the finale, they faked a phone in-vote of your most boring character who you want rid of (including faked viewer comments on a ticker tape) and then, in the final frames, flashes up "Winner!" as said character drops dead. That's only one element of one show.
Let's see "Dawson's Creek" do that!

Jaysus how did i forget to mention heroes and Battlestar galactica?

Dawson's Creek wouldn't do that because all of the characters would be killed off.

Over mentioned on these type of threads but "Freeks and Geeks" is far better then most if not all Teen Dramas.

Also you put Doctor Who into that list, hasn't it (like most other British shows) been running for the last 50 years.

The West Wing had more then 3 seasons AFAIK.

yes doctor who has been running for decades, but the current version only just finished its third series on bbc.....

You should give Season 1 of Psych a view, its funny and well written (especially the banter between the two main characters, Gus and Shawn).
Unfortunately, season 2 hasn't started well (first episode was awful, second, while much better, wasn't as good anything from season 1)

Just watched episodes 3 and 4 of Seaon 2 and they're as good as the first Season so I'd suggest Season 2 aswell.

The Wire is the most hyped show of the moment. Maybe it deserves it, I haven't got around to starting watching it yet, but deserved acclaim - that's one thing it's not short of.

30 Rock and Dexter will get 2nd seasons so it's too soon to include them in this list.

US Office & House are about to start Season 4, the West Wing ran for 7 seasons and all have received Emmys, so that's them scratched off this list.

The original Office chose to conclude after 2 seasons so strike them off too.

I gave up on Shameless once James McAvoy & Anne-Marie Duff moved on.

I gave up on The Shield after a couple of episodes.

Doing a 20,000 word thesis at the moment that is melting my head so I take a break here and there and then usually after hours of writing I sit down at about 1am and watch something till about 4! Been re watching the Wire and even watching it again it is still the best show ever made. Every time you watch it you notice something new. Brilliant show.

The Wire deserves all the hype it can get. Its an excellent show.
The first two episodes of Dexter series 2 are already available to download.
