    off the ranges here what would you buy?

    Looking for 1080p TV

    or give a toatlly different option if it is better (not crazy prices though)

    If it's within your range the Toshiba 42" X3030 is considered a good buy, I've read a few good reviews of it like this one which goes into great detail.

    i have up to €2000 so this is well within budget

    now if i could only get that from amazon i would be delighted, i'll have to price it somewhere that will deliver into Ireland

    Pretty sure I saw one of these in DID lucan , it was indeed a thing of beauty , didnt catch the price though , but may be worth a look.

    If money isn't a problem probably plasma but the best ones don't come cheap from the like of Pioneer.

    actually independant of this I have gone and ordered

    then I realised that the model code looked familiar, looks like a good buy for £799.99. will give an update when it arrives
