Definitely not too late, especially considering that you played up to minor.

Sure 28 is often the peak of a sportsmans career so you're not too old.

But it all goes downhill from here :p

Season generally starts from St Patrick's Day to the end of March with league matches championship generally around mid to late May

You can expext to beginning training at the end of January

After taking a year out because of study committments but can't wait to get back into the fold

    Best of luck with it

It'll come back to you quicker than you think

I was wondering the same thing, I'm 18 and played camogie for about a year when I was 11/12. I really want to start again, but I think I could be too old to actually get on teams, etc, considering that there will be far better players than me of the same age. Do you think it would be worth trying again?

Why not? If you would enjoy getting back into the game whats to stop you?

I stopped playing Hurling when i was about 16 but am thinking of going back to it. Im 25 now but by no means too old. Whether or not i would be good enough to get a starting place, probably not but you never know. Still want to go back to it someday tho as its alot of fun.

yea definately go back and give it ago - how much fun you will have probobly depends on your gaa club, it would take someone to put a gun to my head to make me go back to mine!

Hope not as I ve had inklings to get back into it and I havent played really since I was about 13!

as long as your still in good shape athelically it shouldnt be TOO hard depending on what level you want to reach....

Go for it. It's really not that hard to start back up playing football. If you have any kind of physical fitness, you'll be grand. If you don't, that's what training's for.

Sure there's a good 12 years left in you yet! ;)

I know someone that only stated playing football at 24 and he ended up being a great player. So considering you've played to minor I'd say you'll be fine.

Don't over train at the start. Go at your own pace. It might take over 6 months to get on a decent level.

Its never too late to take up anything. It just takes time with training and all. Make sure you join a good club with good people and decent facilities. Good luck!
