Keloid Scaring

Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have any good tips for getting rid of keloid scarring.

Have three barbells in my pinna for the last few years now, the freshest being at least two years old, and the oldest over ten years, they are quite close together. Recently the oldest one has developed a large keloid scar, it got so big I had to take out the barbell becuase it was starting to grow up around the ball.

In the past I have gotten rid of keloids by drying them out with a high concentrate salt wash, but it's not working this time. It's just a plain old raised lump of a keloid, not red, not dry at all, just and extra bit of flesh that I'd rather not be there! :D

    Any ideas?

Go to your doc and get a hydro cortisone inject straight into it then a pressure banadage and it'll clear up in two weeks or so. The best and easiest way tbh.

You can have them surgically removed but seeing as its already keloiding there's a significant chance the scar from the removal will keloid as well

Had thought about that one alright, but it'll be a while before I caould get that done.

Got any home remedies I can try first?

tea-tree oil works on minor ones, might be worth trying.
