I thought I saw it there a few minutes ago but then it lashed down and I felt better. Still felt weird seeing it there though.

Think you're confusing pagans and norse, while the norse were pagans they were only a small part of all the pagans.

Pagan is a catch all term for those who are not of the abramhamic faith.
The romans used it to refer to the beliefs of those who lived in the country side.
Those that follow the norse faith prefered to be called asstru or Heathen rather then pagan.

The correct action to take at this time is:
Leave your shower running so it sounds like it's raining.
Pull the blinds in your kitchen so it looks gloomy.
Sit in front of the open fridge so you feel cold.

Then you'll be right at home!
