I have had my DS for about 6 months now but I haven't really used it at all. I have decided to start using now so I want to get my hands on some good games for it.

Can you lot tell me what the best games for the DS are? I like all genres of games.

    Thanks

Theres a awful lot of good puzzle games for it too.

Zookeeper, Tetris, Planet Puzzle League, Picross, Puzzle Quest, Meteos.

Im also enjoying Pokemon at the mo.

and ditto on the previous suggestions

    Thanks lads, keep them coming.

I'll have a look at the ones mentioned. I'll definitely be getting the classics like Mario Kart, New Super Mario Brothers and Metroid anyway. I'm sure there are loads of good games for it that I have never heard of though.

Elite Beat Agents is the second best reason to own a DS. The best reason is Osu! Takate! Ouendan! which is the japanese only prequel but you can import it from playasia.

I second Mario Kart and Advance Wars. They are great. Mario Kart online is brilliant if you can find players at your level.

Do you like adventure games? Another Code, Phoenix Wright and Hotel Dusk are good. Not brilliant now but they are reasonably good.

Ive heard Trauma Centre is excellent but im holding out for the Wii version. Tony Hawks skateland is a good sports game. Im playing pokemon at the moment, its not bad so far. I also have Resident Evil and Nintendogs. Nintendogs was great for a while but walking and feeding and training gets tedious.

I have to get Elite Beat Agents. I almost got it yesterday but i decided on Okami (for the ps2) instead.

42 All time Classics is one of the best value for money ones (and online texas hold'em is a huge bonus!)

Starfox Command, Age of Empires, Brain Age etc...etc...:)

pokemon diamond/pearl is nothing compared to the the best in the series, gold/silver/cystal, but is properbly the best ds game
the res evil 1 remake is quite good as well.....and ye cant go wrong with either super mario 64 ds or new super mario bros!

Sonic Rush for old school 2d Sonic platforming
Mario & luigi: Partners in time. Excellent RPG. You'd have to be whimsical in the brain pan not to like it.

If you havn't played the prequel Mario & Luigi: Superstar saga on the GBA, i'd pick it up

It's more of the same, but when the same is that damn good, who cares?

I see you're a mod for the darts forum Kingp35....

You can play online darts in 42 All Time Classics and it's pretty good too! :)

Jump Ultimate Stars. Super Smash Bros.-esque fantastitivity.

It's all in Japanese mind, but you can get a full translation of everything in the game on GameFAQs.

Kirby Canvas Curse is a hidden gem.

The Transformers: Decepticon game is good fun.

Ouendan is fantastic but Elite Beat Agents lacks a lot of its charm imo.

Final Fantasy III is a classic RPG if that's your bag.

One unfortunate thing about the DS is the lack of any decent soccer & driving games. Most of the driving games are tedious arcade style tat like Ned for Sped.

    There are loads!

    Pokemon D/P
    Tetris DS
    Picross
    Mario Kart
    Metroid Prime: Hunters
    Animal Crossing
    42 All Time Classics
    Elite Beat Agents
    Trauma Centre

TBH, If you get any of the above titles you will not be disappointed.

Games i'm enjoying at the moment..

    Advance Wars Dual Strike
    Pokemon Diamond
    New Super Mario Bro's
    Tony Hawks American Skateland
    Yoshis Island DS
    Cooking Mama

    all really excellent!

Super Mario 64DS is the best game i'v played on it by far and away though (why hasnt it's quality come close to being matched??), cleared it recentely but couldnt put it down until then.

anything mario is a must. pokemon is a guilty pleasure, its one of those games u laugh at till u play it and get addicted. fifa street is ok for a football game, fifa 07 has too many players for the small screen. mario vs donnkey kong march of the minis isnt too bad. just go get a R4 and try out loads :D
