    hey all,
Wondering if you can help me out. I have a friend who is bigtime into Digital photography and is interested in getting into portraits and wedding photography.

He is looking to do a short course i.e. 2-4 days on both. however trying to find an irish photographer/organisation doing training is almost impossible

We have looked at digitalbeginners half day wedding course but to be honest it's a little basic. I have come across several in the Uk which offer 4 day courses with models staged in the church and some outside locations and then training on post processing and album creation etc. but these can range from 1000 to 2000 sterling.

Obviously if we could get something a little more local it would be great. Anyone know of any institutions/photographers that give short courses or even better individual training?

    Check out http://www.imagerystudio.t83.net/

They are starting to run some courses, and have models/dresses and such.

Yeah, he said that they are planning to run some classes, but have not put details up yet. No harm in you just dropping them an email. They are very helpful.

I have done the Digital Begineers half day wedding course and found it excellent, I certainly wouldnt call it basic and it addressed a lot of key areas to be covered in a wedding. I would agree with Paul too, Imagery studios were excellent to deal with and the owner is so enthusiastic about photography that you couldnt help but learn.

    Hi Jubilee

If you look at one of the threads above yours you will see one called Bjorn Thomassen. I am organising him to come to Ireland to run a two day course on portraits, studio and wedding photography. Check out www.bjornthomassen.co.uk. Skip the intro and look under him at his gallery.
If you are interested in anymore information, reply to the thread.
    hope this helps.
