I'm currently filling up my iPod now, too many must have back catalogues, let alone songs!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 218 ✭✭Girrrrseach

    LOL

Thats exactly what I'm at at the mo too... and why I thought of this thread!!

    80GBs just isn't cutting it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,135 ✭✭✭✭John

Nearly everyone told me I was mad to get an 80gb one, that I'd never fill it. More fool them!

Anyway, to be somewhat on topic, everyone should have the complete works of Neil Young with them at all times.

Doesn't Tony Fenton do a piece like this every weekday?

Moreover, doesn't it usually result in appalling conclusions like Texas and Kula Shaker?

    José Gonzalés - heartbeats

I don't think it's a case that you'd never fill it, more so once filled when would you ever get the time to listen to all the songs?

Isn't this thread just another "What's your favourite song" thread in disguise?

Sufjan Stevens 'Chicage' from Illinois - good for what ails ya. Actually anything from that album pretty much qualifies.

Well that depends on how much you listen to music, I'd listen to 4-8 albums a day on an average day. I listen to a wide range of CDs during any given month so I don't see why I wouldn't listen to the same range while on the move/in college.

Very true, but there's only so much much you can listen to in a day/week/month, certainly not 80gigs worth.

I just find that sometimes people are more concerned with filling their ipods with as much music as they can just for the sake of it just so they can say that they have four trillion albums on it. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not having a go at you here it's just something that I've noticed recently that slightly irks me.

right - assuming you're downloading songs from some legal site, can i suggest that you spend 99c (or whatever it costs nowadays) and download 'Gimme Shelter' by the Rolling Stones...

    Worth.

    Every.

I absolutely adore that song but you can't recommend it without also recommending the preceding track "Believe"

Not that the track is better than HTL but because of the way HTL is mixed into the end of it.

Also, I wouldn't really called it chilled although I do see where you are coming from.

dunno about ac/dc, i mean they are a good band but if you get mugged you'll wish you played journey to your mugger instead as when the mugger hears journey he'll rip his shirt off to reveal a journey tshirt, whereas if the mugger hears ac/dc they'll just go get the **** and gimme your valuables
