Anyone recommend some good books to read? I'm currently in the middle of reading Penguins Stopped Play by Harry Thompson.

Rain Men by Marcus Berkmann (the other side of the story to Penguins stopped Play)
    Dickie Bird's autobiography
A lot of Hard Yakka by Simon Hughes
    Anything written by Gideon Haigh
If you like PG Wodehouse, a couple of the early Mike & Psmith books have a lot of cricket in them

    The ECB Coaches Resource Manual.

Or go to your local club, chat to their pro & ask him to show you the basics. Then it's practice, practice, practice...

Just waiting on Dickie Bird's book to arrive and have my eye on a few through play.com. They seem reasonable in price.
