PS3 Newbi

Hi,

I just got a PS3 yesterday and although I am fairly up to date with technology there are few problems arising with the PS3.

No.1 It wont connect to a wireless network but i suspect that is my bad coverage which is is the problem as it keeps saying "disconnected from access point".......any ideas??

No.2 I tried to load over music from both a hard drive and my Nokia N91 but it wont seem to notice the songs in it. On my phone I have 2gigs of music but only a handful of artist folders appear and then there are no MP3s in the folders...this afer running the phone in hard-drive mode and its much the same problem with the hard-drive......any ideas??

No.3 When loading music from CD it wont pick up song names ect. Do I have to enter them manually or do I need an interent connection from them to be picked up?

Am sure there will be more problems as i used it more but its still a serious piece of kit.

I'm not too sure about the internet settings, but regarding no.3 you need internet access for the ps3 to get the track info.

The PS3 can a bit fussy about the location of media on the a USB stick.
When you're browsing to the stick (assuming the content isn't on the root) press the triangle button (I'm not up on PS speak ) and select the display all option
You should see your folders and mp3's then.

New 2hr old PS3 newbi here and now the happy owner of all 3 next gen consoles.

One thing I must say, I have yet to power this baby up but it is the best built console I have ever held. The finish quality is just that, it actually feels and looks expensive. I'm afraid to touch it with my bare hands, I don't want to mark it in anyway.

A vast difference to my launch 360 which was creeky and the back cover did not fit together properly, nice one Sony. They seem to have learned from the PS2 bulid quality.

One more question......can I listen to my music from the PS3 while I am playing a game on the console??

Not yet, you should be able to after the next firmware update, v2.00??

Anyone having trouble accessing the PS store? I keep getting cannot find server error.

Yet I can play online and use the web browser no problem.

I ran a connection test and everything was fine.
