What will I need to connect my 360 to a monitor with no VGA socket but with a VGA output. I heard the offical Microsoft VGA cable comes with an adapter but do any of the Third-Party ones come with one?

No the 3rd party ones don't come with the adapter. I have the Joytech one and I had to buy the adapter.

i have mine connected to a projector which only has VGA inputs so i got this External TV tuner from ebay called a gadmei or something like that, it converts analog signals to digital and now i have my 360 connected to the projector aswell as having a tv tuner aswell, its a very handy piece of kit and its very small aswell.,

It would be handy if you told us the make and model of the monitor so we can judge what you need. But saying that you have vga OUT and not IN, no vga cable will send a signal to the OUTPUT socket.

It is actually a VGA gender changer I need. The VGA cable on my monitor is built into the monitor so I need this adapter. Is it just the offical one that comes with this?

You don't get a gender changer with the official cable

Loads of websites are saying you do. Are you sure you got the offical one?
