Does anyone know is it legal for a company to employ you and for you to only receive commission based on what you sell, you don't actually get a fixed wage.

if thats your agreement/contract with the company then why would it not be legal?

if your referring to the door to door selling jobs,
its legal because you are never an employee.

your self employed and you have to do your own taxes etc

There is nothing wrong or immoral with it whatsoever. The compay are not forcing you to work for them, however if you choose to work for them, most likely this way you can make a lot of money - if you are good at the job. If you are crap, they don't loose a whole load on you.

    What is the job?

    Selling what exactly?

If you have sales experience there are loads of jobs out there that pay a wage as well as commission.

As someone else said - you get paid whatever your contract says. It's not immoral if you agree to it.

I agree witgh Zascar, there are tons of sales jobs out there. You don't need to do door to door.
