Tried searching old posts, but too far back to be accurate.
I am drylining my new build roughly 230 sq m internal walls 200sq m ceilings.
I have a quote for €10800 for slabbing/tape and joint finished.
Labour and tape and skim materials only. I supply slabs.
Is this a reasonable figure as i have been quoted €7000 for a nap plaster externally and skim coat internally also €7000 by a different plasterer.
    Thanks in advance.

i think the quote for 10800 is a bit on the expensive side, saying that my original quote for plastering inside and out excluding
slabbing was 27K:eek:  for a 3500sq ft house and 400sq ft garage internal and external with me supplying all materials:eek: yer man saw the house and tried to rip me off, immediately he dropped the price to
22K needless to say he was told his services was not required:D

    5K just like that:rolleyes:

i did a lot of the slabbing myself in my gaff, but i just didn't have the time to complete it myself. the slabbers cost 9euro per drylined slab (38mm TW52) on external walls and would have costed me 11euro a slab for the ceilings
(i did this myself - took 3 of us)

i used the lafarge foil backed slabs downstairs cost 7euro each to put up, again i had done a lot of this.

one thing i must stress, ensure the lads put on bonding / bonding compound on the slabs with the mushrooms or better still stay on site and help them out

the price of 7K seems reasonable, but it all depends on the amount of work required e.g. quality of blockwork, detailing etc. my total cost was 14K saying that i was out on the site mixing up and carrying the buckets etc etc
and being the general dogs body

if you're happy with his standard of previous work, go for it
but like elsewhere things are getting quiet down here, i'm not saying to rip anyone off - but i believe an honest days work for an honest days pay is the best policy, you're in the driving seat at the moment
