Hi all... Im here studying for some mega important exams and I've decided that for the good of my sanity, I need a couple of days away when they're over.

Can anyone tell me where you think would be good for 3 days during the week 20th August - 24th August?

It needs to be close enough to Ireland, very cheap (money is VERY tight!) and relaxing.

The first thing that pops into my mind is Estonia or somewhere like that.

    Any ideas!? Thanks!!

Estonia is far! But then, why not try Croatia? Ryanair flies to Pula in the Istria district, said to be lovely but very busy over that time.

    What's the budget?

If I could get somewhere including flights and accomodation for €300 I'd be delighted.. and probably lucky.

I don't think it's easy to get a cheap flight to Estonia at this stage. Kaunas is cheap enough that week. Vilnius is only a short bus journey away and it's probably the most beautiful of the Baltic Capitals, and surprisingly seems to be the least visited. I travelled around Lithuania (Kaunas, Klaipeda/Nida, Druskininkai and then Vilnius) in 5 days last May. It wasn't the most relaxing as I was always on the go, but there is plenty to see and do.

    Riga?
Try Fun Franks Hostel. Dirt cheap and a cheap city if you look around.

If you search ebay for brussels hotel you will find vouchers for 5 star hotels for around €100.
Just email the hotel for availability, and mention the ebay voucher when booking the room.

Same applies for a lot of European cities. Just search for 'hotel nights' or similar

Go to skyscanner.net and see if you can get cheap flights to anywhere on that.
It's a great site for finding where cheap flights are to.
Then, when you've found somewhere to fly to, go to tripadvisor.com and find yourself some cheap accommodation. You can't go wrong with all the reviews and you can find some beauties for <€50 a night!

    Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

Small, historical, great local food beer and wine, and cheap!

Dublin to Dusseldorf, out Tuesday the 21st, back Friday the 24th, €138 with Aer Lingus.

I'd say you will have no bother getting a hotel for the three nights for €150 in Dusseldorf.

Tallinn (Estonia) is lovely, at least the old city is, but because Helsinki / Finland is so close, and they get so many people popping over to shop, prices there are generally higher than the other Baltic capitals ... still cheaper than here though.

Vilnius is well worth a visit, and is very cheap. I would be inclined to fly there directly if possible though ... tbh Kaunas wouldn't really light my candle.
