Hi All,
Anyone knokw what year a car with the reg AZV XXX would be from? I know it's sometime in the early to mid eighties, but would like to narrow it down a bit more.

That sounds about right then, the first letter incremented every 999 cars registered rather than every year like the older british system.

AZV started (and likely finished) in March 1985.

There must have been a big batch of Garda cars registered around that time because they nearly all had the MZV reg around here.
