Interested in Airsoft

For a while I was interested in getting into Airsoft, but only tonight did I realise it was legalised!

So do you guys have any advice for someone starting out? Is there anything I should know (apart from the stickies)?

I'm not really sure what sort of gun to buy or where to buy it from but if I had the choice I would buy either an AK-47, an M4A1, a P90, a Desert Eagle, a Mauser or a Luger. I am a bit strapped for cash so I hope to find a good deal somewhere!

Is there anywhere that I can go to try Airsoft out? I notice there are some sites, but they seem to be mostly in the North.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

That pretty much answered most of my questions. Thanks!

So it's generally reccommended a beginner should got to HRTA before buying anything?

TBH yes I'd recommend it. You get to see and try other peoples gear and you can get advice from experienced players face to face. Also if you decide airsoft is not for you then you haven't parted with green stuff unnecessarily.

If you're strapped for cash I wouldn't advise a pistol as a first gun. It's personal choice really but an AEG rifle would be more versatile starting off. Apart from everything you wouldn't need to worry about gas. And it's easier to start skirmishing with a rifle than a pistol
