What helps to cure bloatedness and tone up the stomach area?
my stomach seems to swell up all the time and feels heavy, tight and huge , which is accompanied by indigestion/stomach pains - this is even when i have barely eaten anything. i seem to put weight all on my stomach area. does bread contribute to this? i don't drink alchohol.
i thought i might have a thyroid problem and should see a doctor.

    any advice?
Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this..

See a doctor straight away,it sounds like apendicitis or an ulcer of some sort.

do you think its that bad? i was slightly exaggerating just to get the point across that the bloatedness is bad.

I had something like that yesterday/last night, and I think it was food poisoning.

Seriously, thats not normal.. You're probably intolerant of some food... most common ones are dairy and wheat.

Most people are allergic to wheat products due to our overeating of these foods in everything we eat, therefore bread bloats most people and this sounds like your problem, cut it and other starch out for 2-3 days and see how you feel..i guess that you will feel much better.

I get the same. Sometimes feels like ur really full for ages too yea?

try eating "digestive enzymes" with your meals - you can get them in capsule form - it helps your stomach digest your meals easier, so your not as bloated. also, make sure ur not eating foods that are really different in one sitting - ie. dont eat a melon, beef, potatoes, apples, and biscuits, all within a period of a few mins, as different stomach acids are required to digest each of them

As mentioned above, bread, yeast etc. can cause this. Had an interesting link to gastro-intestinal difficulties and digestive problems but can't find the bastard now.

Fruit and sugary foods can also have a negative effect.
