    Hey,
Due to an ongoing nightmare back I am currently trying to train in other ways (used to be gym everyday).
Is there anywhere in town that does specific boxing training, i.e. working with bags etc.
Also anyone know of a good place to get a bag to buy for outside and also something for chin ups ...

    Cheers
    m

I would seriously do MMA. I hate UFC, but doing mma is a different altogether. Boxing training is too predictable, I think, with MMA you do all sorts of Cardio work.

    Hey Monkey,

How bad is your back, I dont know if MMA with the grappling etc would be an option, or boxing, not a criticism just wondering myself really??

There are a few places around, where are you based?? The boxing forum would be good for this, I reckon cos there are plenty of folk over there that know this stuff inside out ya know,

Kickboxing in Westwood with Liam would be a very good start I reckon, its very friendly and everyone is catered for from guys at european level to people like me, not going to the europeans, barely making it to the shops :D:D

Ufc is mma too, what are you on about? How is boxing predictable? maybe to clueless people like you who think you just keep throwing your arms about-cop on. i train and fight both and love both but the lad asked about boxing not mma-why not advise him to do tae bo as thats good cardio too!

    ha ha Cowzerp,

I avoided touching on that but you made me laugh with that!! He is dead right OP, boxing is horrendous, in a brilliant way on your cardiovascular system, just try throwing punches nonstop for 3 minutes, shadow boxing, you dont need to hit anything and you will see what Cowzerp means!!!

cowzerp you're a moron. I meant doing MMA is better than watching it, and since UFC is the biggest promotion, I named that one. I have done both as well, and doing MMA was much harder,

Boxing is the most fit and athletic sport on the planet imho-12 x 3 rounds of the boxing plus the more tiring part-been hit for 12 rounds. boxing training makes these athletes capable of that.

You are a pro wrestling fan-LOL Ring Of Honor(Tuesday nights, wrestling channel), WWE, TNA-OFF YOUR MYSPACE-HA HA

YOU NEVER BOXED-maybe like your wwe heroes you did! and jumping off the top rope is not mma-ufc is just a brand name-mma is the sport, thanks for making me laugh child,
PS. Hulk Hogan would bash all the WWE lads!!!!!!

Yeah, I wanna do boxing training specifically or something thats pretty similar. I used to do it before and loved the training.
Anyone got any actual suggestions, seems the post has been taken over by a bit of a disagreement.
Back is pretty bad, I am awaiting an MRI scan but i am not great at doing nothing so i wanna get stuck into some different kind of training and see how it holds up.

Well if you can make it up to Bridgestone gym then i would go for that, I go there (when im in Ireland) about 2-3 times a week and it is great for overall fitness and for whipping things up for training, it ****in kills ya but its well worth it.
