I finally rang the councils water department and asked about the water being switched off at night, they got the local depot to ring me (all within 5 minutes may I add) and this is the current status -

Water is switched off at midnight every night and back on a 6am this is to facilitate the kilsoc reservoir refilling.(I have never heard of it and to the best of my previous knowledge our water came from a reservoir at the bog of the ring, possibley same place?)

They do not know when it is going to go on until but if they did not do it the situation would be worse.

Christ on a bike! I can't believe that they are rationing water in Balbriggan at the moment. It's not like we've had a drought recently.

Someone must have left a bloody huge tap running. :o

Would this be related to the fact that the water pressure is really bad?

    Is anyone else experiencing this?

I've had to swap my showers for a bath!:(

My water pressure isn't too bad anymore but my shower is unuseable for washing hair, due to the shower head being really high on the wall, the type of shower they put in an no pressure getting to it.

the kilsough reservoir is beside the golf club. It is just a large tank to help the water pressure with the town. it is just beside the entranse to the chantaries

Is anyone else having really bad problems with water pressure today??

We have no water coming into the house at all.. This started at around 1ish this afternoon and it's still not back yet.. I checked with the neighbours and they are all in the same boat.

    It's fecking ridiculous:mad:

Didn't notice it any worse then usual yesterday but it might be worth ringing fingal water services to ask what the issue was.

It used to happen regularly until they started cutting the water every night ,which at least has the advantage now that we have water during the day.
