    uTorrent is the best

yeah utorrent is the best, there was some big brother scares recently with v1.7 causing a lot of private torrent sites to ban it, but all is good now with v1.7.2.

Also get the webUI, its simple excellent, and if you are using Vista, there is a little util that lets you add a utorrent monitor to your sidebar.

Its the lightest and most user friendly torrent program i've found. It has a torrent search bar built in and also allows you to add RSS feeds. It also has a facility to check that the port your using is open. The scheduler is also good for keeping the dl/ul speeds low during the day when you need the bandwidth then setting it to use the full bandwidth when you go to bed.

Plus, there is a cool little easter egg, go into help/about utorrent and press "t" you'll be pleasantly surprised.

    utorrent ftw.

I just changed from the basic bittorrent client to Azureus. I think its pretty good, a lot better than the basic client anyway. I was looking for a program which had more functionality and was user friendly and am now happy enough.

I found uTorrent to be not so user friendly. I don't to spend half an hour configuring my torrent client

    μtorrent - the best.

i've tried everything else and found this to be the best. Easy to use and lots of cool features. Easy on system requirements.

    I use BitTornado.

It works, it's light and efficient and very easy to use. Basically, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

ive been a fan of bitcomet for a while, then the ads and search engine came in. switched to azureus for oooh about a day! then uTorrent. which is the best. no ads and very user friendly.

I used to use Azureus but it soaks up way too much RAM and its UI feels slow (thanks Java). uTorrent ftw :) I don't know where you're getting your 30 minutes to configure uTorrent figure from youcancallme>al. All you need to do is tell it what port to use and off it goes.

I use vuze myself, a much nicer client then the rest, it also dosent effect network traffic in any way at all.

But becasrefull where this thread goes lads. No talk of warez or sites

uTorrent ftw. I've running on an 8 year old laptop sitting in the corner of a room with uTorrent saving the files to an NAS server. Never have to touch it unless I want to add a new RSS feed. The RSS feeds are excellent, once you have them set up you don't need to access the machine and you never miss whatever you are d/l!! Everything just appears in MCE once finished :D

+1 for uTorrent. Azureus just hogged the machine too much, uTorrent is lovely and slim and simple to use.

    Another one for uT.

The new official BitTorrent 6.0 client is just a rebranded uT: http://www.bittorrent.com/download (the beta, not the one on the screenshot)
