Thoughts on how this was played.

    Button Hero ($100.50)
    SB ($60.40)
    BB ($30.25)
    UTG ($116.90)
    UTG+1 ($53.90)
    UTG+2 ($48.67)

    Hero dealt Kc10c

    UTG Fold
    UTG+1 Call
    UTG+2 Fold
    Hero raise to $3
    SB Fold
    BB Fold
    UTG+1 Call

    Flop AhKsKd
    Hero Raise to $10
    UTG+1 Call

    Turn Qs
    Hero Raise to $10
    UTG+1 Call

    River 4d
    Hero Raise $20
    UTG+1 Call

UTG+1 wins with Full House Queens full of Kings

Question - should my raise after the flop have been higher? I would have thought a call with QQ was ballsy or stupid but it paid off. Even if I had raised to say $20 he would have probably called. I took his whole stack (around $40) off him about 30 hands later but I had a nagging doubt I played this badly.

Edited the post - yeah he had the house sorry. Mr Plough I bet more on the flop than you would have. So you would have lost less but lost none the less. I needed to scare him off not encourage him to play.

why? you want action when you flop trips

Yeah but with an ace on the board and it getting better and better for a straight with every card I needed him/her out. Is my thinking completely weird here?

Yes it is. How are you ever going to make money if you don't get action when you flop big??

Raise more preflop as Mr Plough says (as standard in spots like this). Your flop bet is too strong (given the pot size) and your turn bet too weak.

Your opponent's play is hilarious by the way. He spikes his miracle queen and then gets worried that you have AK and check calls the river. Lmao.

Fair enough - we are both rubbish.

No I didn't say that, your play needs tweaking and you need to consider if you are playing within your bankroll if you are worried about a gutshot straight draw on that flop.

Your opponents play is woeful! :p

you didnt raise anywhere but preflop, you BET. please learn the lingo, its important so as to not confuse people

I dont understand your bet sizing anywhere, bet less on the flop, and more on the turn & be thankful you didnt lose all your money here
