why dont they make these? the only one on the market at the moment is this pathetic excuse for a a collection of plastic and electronics http://www.tangshop.com/bluetooth-game-pad-bgp-100.html ... i mean surely it wouldn't be that hard to make one? i'd love on anyway...
is there some unpractical reason for them?

PS3 uses a bluetooth connection for the controller so its probably a matter of time before proper ones show up for the PC.

why? what is wrong with RF gamepads? plus I think the way forward will be wireless USB anyway.

the PS3 and Wii use bluetooth 2.0 EDR for their controllers. I know a lot of people with bluetooth laptops are still using version 1.2 and below, so that could also be a reason.

Also, bluetooth gamepads work for consoles because everybody is going to be using the same standard, plus consoles games make use of the fact it can pair up to 7 controllers to the same device because it caters for multiplayer. PC's usually do not. So the extra benefits of having a controller connected via bluetooth would be lost.

bluetooth is more of a mobile wireless solution because its speeds are so low currently, which is why a lot of manufacturers are sticking with RF or IR.

    hmmm good point i suppose

but you could say the same for wireless headphones and keyboards/mice, they used to be all RF but now they all seem to be changing to bluetooth...

its just handier for some one who has a built in bluetooth 2.0 module in their laptop to have dont you think? i hate the idea of having an RF dongle sticking out of mine...

You can get the wireless Xbox 360 gamepad working on Windows via the wireless receiver while not bluetooth it's one of the best gamepads out there & wireless.

The hard part is finding the receiver as not many places sell it.
