Looks like the Scots could well have only one team in next year's Magner's League. Not only is this bad for Scotland but it'll surely impact on the Irish and Welsh provinces too. Bad news all round :(

What was the story with them shafting Scott Murray, all I read was they didn't want to pay him to the end of his contract, so just cut him out altogther ?

From what i read on IRN the SRU are something like 20 million pounds in debt hence the closure of Borders and the relationship between Edinburgh and the SRU has been very edgy over the past number of months. Im kinda worried that the SRU just wont be able to go on with professionalism which would be a real dent in Celtic Rugby.

From that article on BBC, they're down to £19m debt, and there only real asset is Murrayfield.

Im guessing the 20m went down to 19 after Borders were shut down and yeah the problem though with Muarryfield is that they cant fill it for Magners matches i heard, no problem filling it for Internationals but when it comes to the clubs they arent making enough ticket sales

They have had problems filling it for internationals and will in the future. Only match that sells well is the Calcutta Cup. Murrayfield is a massive stadium afterall, no club in the world would fill it.
