Ah, God and Irish students. He blasts us with sun as a temptation. Those with ambition have to sit inside with the curtains closed and bare it. Those more subject to temptation jack it in, we sell a lifetime of potential wealth for 4 extra years to be free to sit in the sun once we are finished our 9 to 5 Joe Soap working for the man jobs.

I remember during my leaving in 2004, it was sunny and rock splitting heat for every single day, and pretty much the first time I saw a cloud was one Wednesday evening, the final day of school.

It ****ing pissed continous for the next month plus iirc.

    Same here :D

All of a sudden those sale prices on BBQs and gardening sh1t in Woodies, B&Q, etc are dropped - full retail again................

But seriously - it's nice to have some decent weather again - as long as it hold out for the BH weekend.

Yep, same with me I did my exams this year and what did I get for all the hard work??? Sh1t weather... can you understand how pissed off I was??? Very, is the answer to that retorical question! But now I'm getting my just deserts! Finally!

Talk about over-reaction much? So we got a bit of sun - big whoop! What's this weird obsession the Irish nation have with weather? 6 out of 10 conversation in Ireland start with a comment about the weather. (Not an actual statistic, I made it up, but you get the picture).

Captain Negative, the reason why weather play's a role in Irish conversation is because its so bloody unpredictable.

It rained for over 45 days on the trot. Today, no rain but a swealtering sun.

In other parts of the world its pretty predictable, such as along the Equator where it rains for 2 hours at the same time every day type thing...

Well, yeah I get your point, but it seems like an obsession with the Irish in general. Surely we have better things to discuss???
