Was playing late the other night when i get 10h10c UTG,

I've only came to the table, It's about my 6th hand. I've got 250 in front,

I raise to 7 I get 2 callers. No readys.

    Flop comes 7h 8h 6s pot 24

I was 1st to act and raise it 20, and 1 folds other flat calls. I find it a lillte fishy. It was a very fast call.

    Turn is a 2s

I check to him and he bets 60.

    Whats my next move.

i would smooth call, i feel you are ahead here, most players will call a continuation bet after the flop if they played a pair or ak, and you showed weakness with the check on the turn so i think a call is the best move, and then value bet the river, if he shoves over you then you have a decision to make. there is always a chance that he has you beat, so i would thread carefully, even though i think you are ahead.

I don't like the idea of leading out only once with an over pair. The 2 hardly scared you, why check unless you have decided to check/call the turn and river? As played I think this is your best line.

Ok.. IMO there are 2 reasons why you can check here...

    1) you think you have the worst hand... you checking with the intention of folding if he bets...

    2) you think you have the best hand and you want to induce a bet..(stack a donk) in this case your raising all in...

you really have to make a decision where you stand now.... calling is poor i think as there are so many scare cards on the river and your oop and will have to check again....

Say you flat call and another undercard comes and you check he checks behind and your good.. you've lost value

If an overcard comes and you check and he bets what do you do??

Now is the time for the decision

I checked the turn as i didnt like the way he called the bet i made. Hard to explaine,

I like your thinking on it Mac,

heres a spolier for those would like to make comments without knowing the outcome.
I re-raised his bet making it 100 more to play, He hollywooded for about 5 minutes and then folded showing 1 Ace, My guess is he had AK / A5 /A9, I took the pot,

I much prefer just betting again in this spot, especially in a live game.

So do I but given that he has checked back to the 2 options.... I'm leading here again for sure
