    Vespa

    Hi,

Im looking to buy a Vespa this week just to get around to work etc.

Problem i have is that if i buy a new one, itll be reliable but not look as nice as the older ones. I know a guy in Blackrock who restores them and sells them on and they look great. Does anybody know if older Vespas hold onto their value? Planning to just hold on to it for 6 months and get a car.

The obvious choice is to buy a new one - 3k.

If i buy a restored one, its around the same price but much nicer.

    What would you guys do?

    Cheers

Personally I'd go for a classic one (and in fact thats my plan) but given I'm an old MOD its a case of my heart deciding and not my head

Sorry about posting that twice Mods!

I've looked at that website. There's a guy here in Dublin that i have chatted to that is selling much higher quality restored bikes that the ones i have seen on that site. If you want to private me, ill send you some pics. They look great. You're looking at between 3,200 to 3,500.
