    Hi,

I'm not a fluent Irish speaker, but now and again I like to throw in the odd irish word in an email or messenger conversation etc.

What's the best way to get the fadas (sp?) over letters?. Do i have to install an Irish font or something. Do I create a shortcut to an 'a' with a fada (sp) if I want to write Slan etc..

    Appreciate your help

    D.

Just use the alt gr key and the letter you want the fada on. So for á use Alt Gr+a.

Ìf you're feeling extra fancy you can throw in some backwards fadas (used in french and the like) e.g. : àèìòù

To do this press that weird key top left of keyboard (With these symbols on it: ¬¦`) and then press the vowel you want.
