Do xenon bulbs get tired?

Does anyone know whether xenon bulbs gradually get tired over time? I have an 8 year old car with factory xenons, and they're not as bright as I would wish. The colour is white to yellow, with a hint of green. I'm asking myself whether the bulbs get dimmer or go down the colour spectrum as they age. Any ideas?

There is a lifetime of around 3,000 hours in them I think.

But 8 years does seem a bit early... I'd say ring service dept. of your local dealer but they'll probably know sweet FA about xenons and their lifetime.

Having said that, mine are 8 months old and one of them keeps going - it's going into Brady's tomorrow to be hooked up.
