Assigining channel number to additional channels

    I have a Sky+ box and I've tuned in UTV and other channels manually. I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to assign these channel numbers rather than access them via the "Other Channels" in the "Services" menu.

    Unfortunately, assigning an EPG number is not possible.

    That's a pity. It would be very handy for Sky+ recording.

    I thought it was that the BBC & the like would only go onto the EPG if Sky pay them, thats what happened with BBC 1 & BBC 2, right?

    The main channel I want to assign an EPG number to is ITV. And in the UK, ITV already has an EPG number.

    I wonder why ITV does not have an EPG number in Ireland?

    Because ITV have only paid to be on UK EPG.

    I think that due to legal issues with TV3, ITV will not be on Sky EPG for the forseeable future, unless things change.
