Was the preflop raise to 330? Why? Blinds are 15/30

He was following the pattern of betting in previous rounds. Pre flops Bets far in excess of 4-5 Times the BB.

this is a usual tactic in nlhe tourney early stages, a huge reraise, usually though its maybe 6x, i believe its a right play to make a huge raise with a hand like kk, but the call preflop of the reraise has to put him on ax or qq and maybe jj. i would have been prepared to fold if an ace hit the board, as he probably would have shoved with aa,kk,qq preflop, so i dont see anything wrong with your preflop reraise. but the discipline to lay it down post flop is the problem here. you had to put him on an ace, he played the hand like he had one and then moved when he hit. i know you can put him on qq maybe, but i dont see this guy shoving post flop, if he was that agressive he would certainly have shoved pre flop.

Before the Flop i though if a Ace hits I take it easy. I didn't follow through. if I had checked the 3 spades would have scared me off and would have save me going broke.

The pity is I am well capable of a lay down, just didn't do so this time.

any oher comments on my reraise?

    the reraise is fine obv.

Your shove on the flop was a mistake as you are guaranteed a call from AK and risk forcing QQ, JJ to fold.

    You have position, check behind.
Then various scenarios play out on the turn. If he has QQ or JJ he may think you are scared of the A and bet it and you can then pick up his bluffs etc.
If he has AK he may not shove but instead slow play it to death etc.
If he shoves on turn or river then you are getting 3/1 and its fairly marginal to call or fold.

the flush draw is really irrelevent, there's really no need to worry about it at all. esp. since the As is on the board.

    I agree with Phantom_Lord.

The pot is far too big to fold no matter what he does. Checking is slightly better as he may bluff at it.
