I'd really built up that I was going to win yesterday, for some reason I just felt it was my time. I had lots of plans for the money and what I was going to spend it on. I'm fairly gutted this morning, so dissapointed I can't put it into words, there's a huge black cloud hanging over me now, any pointers to get rid of it ?

Figure out some other way to get rich and devote yourself to it - write a book, start a website, go for a better job.

It's probably just as well I didn't win - I would have spent it all unwisely...

I got 3 and bonus and all I got was 9e. Now THAT'S annoying. 4 outta 6. Outta e16 million I get 9e! But ah well, I'm sure the Corkonian was well deserving of it. Maybe next time.

I got 3 numbers in the lotto+2, bringing my winning to a ........ e1 scratchcard.
Still, I could win e10000 on that!

Aw no, thats terrible OP. It's so unfair when things don't work out, especially when you had all your hopes up and you were banking on winning the jackpot for your future. If I were you, I would write an angry letter to the National Lottery, and explain to them that you bought a ticket and they got your numbers wrong. That will hopefully make them feel a bit guilty, and next time, they may give you a heads up!

Do it OP, like this Dutch lady earlier this year. And we thought the Irish were the world leaders at begrudgery

    Lottery loser sues for distress

    Posted Sat Jun 23, 2007 9:27am AEST

A Dutch woman has lost her compensation claim for mental distress she suffered from missing out when her neighbours won a lottery windfall.

Prize winners are chosen by postal code and Helene de Gier would have shared in the $22.2 million if she had bought a $13.50 ticket, as her seven neighbours in the town of Heusden did.

Ms de Grier had accused the organisers of "emotional blackmail" and demanded compensation, but court documents showed she had lost.

The judgement said lottery organisers could not be held responsible for those who fail to take part and later regret it.

I work with a group of seven other people and we started up a syndicate. We were all planning to hand in our notice at the same time if we had of winning! :D I would of loved to see the managers face if we did this.

Yes, and the reason for that is that each entry costs 50c more and the odds of winning a jackpot are around 9.3 times higher.

Not at all, if I was doing any I'd do the Irish one.

    Not really.
6 numbers on the lotto plus 2 is €250,000. A win like that properly managed would set you up for life.

lol I did that too for saturdays draw... which is weird because I hadn't played the lotto in about 8 years and think it's a load of crap. (better to "win" the money you don't spend on it and so on)
This time was supposed to be different, it was supposed to have been me... there must have been some terrible mistake.
Now of course I'll probably be sucked into thinking the numbers are OK, but it just wasn't the draw I was meant to win on. :D
What if my numbers came up in wednesdays draw? I'd certainly have to top myself. (d'you think this is what keeps people playing lotto? that it's a kind of OCD?!)
Actually now that I think of it, my lotto winning daydream very specifically stated that I'd be winning six and a half million... so maybe it wasn't the right draw.
