I just got NTL MMDS and everything is fine except that the volume doesn't appear to work, I have sound just can't change it on with the box. When pressing the volume on the remote the display on screen changes but the volume doesn't. I've looked in the book and did a search here and on google, but I can't find any info. I've also played with all the settings in the box. I'm going to call customer care tomorrow but though I try here first.

Is there any special settings on the box to activate the volume?

Have you triied resetting the box by unplugging it from main, waiting a few seconds and plugging back in again?

Yes, I've done that. But now that I think I haven't tried the soft reset:o . Will try when I get home.

Sound's like your connected to the wrong scart output. What type box is it?. Plug the scart into the other output on the box and you should be grand

I have the silver Pace box. I'll try swapping the scarts when I get home. Would have thought they would instal it correctly, but that is just wishfull thinking.

Did a soft reset and the clock lost an hour! Hopefully it'll have sorted itself when I get home.
