Here are some shots of a mosque for c & c. They were taken at the Grand Mosque in Manama, Bahrain.

The first two were taken after a sandstorm so they arent as sharp/clear as I would have wanted them.

    Thats one impressive building!

I like the first one, i think the dullness caused by the sand actually adds to it, makes it look more imposing.

Third ones a really nice shot to look at.

The sky gives great atmosphere to the first one.
I'm of the opinion that if you're going to shoot a door head-on, you've got to line it up straight.
Bit anal about angles, me. :o

Perspective in the third one is great. Only thing I would say is the angle is off and the fact that the top of the shot is cut off is a pity when there seems to have been enough space to have captured the entire archway. It is a very nice composition, just could have been excellent with a little better placing of the subject in the frame. The contrast is lovely, and a nice conversion too. :)

Cheers for that - far as I remember the 3rd one had very heavy distortion due to using a 10-20mm at 10mm on a 20d and taken close up. I think this one went through the photoshop 'distort' filter to remove the distortion - that straightened it out a bit but I lost some of the frame as a result. After that I just tried to keep the 2nd doorway at the end of the hall as the centre of the attention and ignored the rest. Looking at it again it does look a bit unbalanced and out of whack alright. Thanks again.
