Saturday night's Lotto numbers revealed here!!! ...aka, how to pick your numbers

I was talking to a mate of mine who knows a guy who works for the National Lottery. He said that the numbers for next Saturday have all ready been decided. They are: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and bonus ball 7!

Wouldn't it be gas?? They have exactly the same chance of coming out as any other set of numbers in the drum. Apparently it (1-6) was the most popular set of numbers played on Wednesday night. next most popular were:40-45. and 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 after that!

I know its statistically correct, that they are just as likey to win, but I'd just feel as if I was wasting my money! How does everyone else plan to select their numbers? Quickpick always seems popular.

The first 6 people to reply to this, please give me one number and then i'll play that set of numbers on saturday. We'e got to win that way!!

You're not gonna win much if you pick a common sequence like 1,2,3,4,5,6 and it comes up.
If hundreds (possbily thousands?) of others players put that down for a laugh, you'll only be getting a small share.

I'd much prefer win on a more random pick - try to pick from the mid 30s upwards with some lower, and they can't include birthdays, so would increase the odds of your pick being unique.

This is , of course, if you're a greedy fecker like me who plays the lotto for all or nothing!

Article in todays Metro says it would cost E12m to guarentee 6 numbers.... can't guarentee you're the only winner unless you hire goons to guard all the lotto machine to scare off other players.... and not to mention the army of trained monkeys to tick all the combinations on the lotto slips...

To increase your chances of winning do not select a sequence of numbers, do not pick the Lost numbers and have at least a couple of numbers that are higher than 31 in your selection. Anything else and even if you do win and your share of the pot is likley to be very much reduced.
